Our Story
The Falls at Schooleys Mountain Park, a popular swimming hole for
Edwin and Julie in their youth.
Edwin Smith and Julie Santos met in third grade, at 8 years of age
on Schooleys Mountain in New Jersey.
They grew up there together and have fond memories of walking miles down dirt roads, discovering natural springs in the back woods and swimming together in streams and spring fed ponds off the beaten path.
A few lots down from Edwin's childhood home is a historical spot.
In the early 1900's Schooleys Mountain was said to be one of the first and finest resort areas in the United States.
The mineral springs were known to be some of the purest in the world.
The Dorincourt Hotel, a Schooleys Mountain Resort c. 1906, laid claim to such distinguished visitors as the Roosevelts, Astors, and Ulysses S. Grant.
It was a blessing for Edwin and Julie to grow up enjoying the refreshing taste of well water.
Nothing pairs better with clean, pure well water than all natural personal care products. And so, Schooleys Mountain Soap LLC was established in 2018 when they created their first three soap varieties for a family wedding shower. The demand for more soap continued to grow, especially since several family members have sensitive skin. That's when they decided it was time to raise the BAR!
Over the years, they have been able to assist many in effectively managing their skin issues, bringing immense satisfaction to all.
Schooleys Mountain Soap products do not contain phthalates, sodium sulfate, parabens, EDTA, artificial ingredients, synthetic fragrances, or dyes. We use sustainable ingredients with premium quality.
